The agriturismo Montepiano is located in a charming corner of Sabina, not far from Rome, amidst olive groves and historic woods. The accommodations are offered in an ancient and evocative sixteenth century palazzo that has been in the owners’ family for approximately, three centuries. The building is in the historic center of Montasola, a hilltop village from where, like from a great natural terrace, it is possible to admire magnificent views steeped in green fields and broad valleys. Montasola is an enchanted place, where a visitor can dream, meditate and enjoy the extraordinary horizons that characterize the whole area. The silence of the village streets, the sweetness of the surrounding landscape, the beautiful sunsets behind the hills, offer proper rest and relaxation in this enchanting corner of Sabina. The establishment has both rooms and apartments all of which come with a view, are completely private and are replete with characteristic period furniture. From each room, due to the dominating position of the village, visitors can enjoy, undisturbed, 360 degree views of the surrounding valleys and soak in the sounds and silence of nature.. A short walking distance from the apartments, Montepiano has a private garden situated at the summit of the village. Visitors can use it and it’s outdoor furniture – cushioned chairs and tables, for picnics, barbecues and outdoor dining. The Montepiano farm produces quality extra virgin olive oil. In fact, the Sabina region had received formal recognition (DOC, DOP) as a producer of some of the finest olive oils in Italy. |
