Both the apartments and cottages have been tastefully furnished in traditional Tuscan style, offering guests all necessary comforts, relaxing living space and a romantic private garden with picturesque views. The swimming pool, the solarium immersed in vegetation, the small lake, walks in the woods and fresh spring water all ensure the serenity and well-being of the guests. Situated in the hills between the Casentino and Tiber valleys, just a few minutes’ drive from Arezzo in the hearth of Tuscany is Forte di Tregognano, a characteristic cluster of charming, old-world cottages and apartments, surrounded by forty hectares of land and spectacular views.
The property, which lies on the ancient Roman road linking northern Italy with its capital, was once a Mediaeval military outpost. However, with the passing of time it was converted into a large, country home. Recent renovations have transformed this complex into a refined, spacious holiday retreat.
All the accommodations, both the cottages and apartments have been meticulously restored by its owners maintaining its original, Mediaeval italian charm. All the rooms have been elegantly furnished in traditional Tuscan style.
Its sunny and peaceful position is ideal for relaxing or, if preferred, exploring the hidden wonders of Tuscany - castles, monastries, forests and the historical cities of Arezzo, Anghiari, Sansepolcro, Poppi, Cortona, Firenze, Siena and Perugia.
The panoramic swimming pool, the romantic terraced gardens and the surrounding woods, abundant in mushrooms, truffles, chestnuts and berries, with its own natural spring, make holidaying here so very special. Mountain bikes, table tennis equipment, BBQ facilities, a big living room with kitchen and laundry are available for the guests’ use - ideal for all individuals, groups and weddings.
