Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi - Marche
The Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi lies on a hill along the valley of the River Tronto, a few kilometres from Ascoli Piceno. The historic compound, built in different periods, is formed of the Relais Villa, an ancient medieval fortress, which was adapted into a country residence in the XVIII c; the Residenza San Pancrazio and other buildings dating back to the XVII and the XIX, sheltered by the ancient perimeter walls of the castle. The Oratory, built in 1608, decorated with precious frescoes attributed to the Biagio Miniera school. All is surrounded by a historic garden of rare beauty, planted between 1875 and 1890 by the renowned botanist and landscape gardener Ludwig Winter, today the first Bioenergetic garden in Europe. Today the Borgo is a peaceful shelter from daily life, where attention for details and quality service are blended with culture and tradition. Guests can choose among eleven suites furnished with antique pieces and offering a complete range of facilities: six suites in the Relais Villa and five separate apartment suites with private access, composed of bedroom, bathroom, sitting room and kitchenette, in the Residenza San Pancrazio. The coffee house and bookshop, meeting rooms, the swimming-pool with sauna and wellness room together with the historic gardens, complete the compound. All suites with air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, electronic safe, minibar and kettle for tea. One apartment suite, Sibilla, is equipped for disabled. Adsl internet point and wi-fi internet connection in all apartment suites and common areas. The Borgo offers its guests a restaurant service on request with traditional recipes and local produce of the Marches.
