Il Gaidello - Emilia-Romagna

L'Azienda Agricola, or agricultural farm, Il Gaidello, is located in the fertile Po River Valley (Pianura Padana) a few kilometers from Modena and Bologna. It has a continental climate, with four distinct seasons: beautiful wild flowers in the spring, golden waves of grain in summer, mature grapes and rich colors in autumn, and snow sometimes in winter.

The farm, other than it’s traditional and historical cultivations (wheat, alfalfa, tomatoes, onions, etc…), has planted new woods and many other plants which are flowering and in continuous growth. The farm has now become an area where hunting is prohibited, leaving the birds and animals to live and reproduce in a natural and uncontaminated habitat. In the early morning hours, other than the abundance of autochthonous birds, one can observe pheasants crossing the small road which leads to San Giacomo and hares jumping among the wild flowers on the sides of the fields.

The agritouristic farm Villa Gaidello is a complex of recently renovated farmhouses dating back to the ‘700-‘800s, surrounded by lush green grounds and trees. Villa Gaidello, with its many characteristics, represents an oasis in time. While the small Lake with Swans and Ducks is ideal for romantic guests and dreamers, it also represents a great imaginative source for children who are searching for the “white whale”.

Il Gaidello moreover looks to the future. The new woods and the new plants, which vigorously rise towards the sky, are the most authentic witness.
